Jennifer Lawrence is not one to carry a subtle bag. Over the last year alone, the actor has cycled through a slouchy leopard Prada bag, a boxy tangerine croc-embossed tote, and a different leopard Prada bag—a structured top-handle with blue and red ostrich leather embellishments. But Lawrence has just outdone herself with the latest entrée in her extensive purse collection: an acid green Hermès Bolide.
For those hoping to add an in-your-face bag—be it the color of the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards slime or otherwise—to their wardrobe, take heed from Lawrence. Instead of maxing out on neon, Lawrence let the bag take the sartorial spotlight, pairing it with neutrals: a slightly oversized navy sweater atop a charcoal gray tee, distressed light-wash blue jeans, and brown suede clogs. But she also didn’t let the bag stop her from accessorizing, adding a pair of black cat-eye sunglasses and a silver lariat necklace.

BACKGRID USALawrence is no stranger to the Bolide, one of Hermès’s lesser-known models. (That said, she does carry a Kelly like the best of ‘em, preferring a less precious, flung-open bag.) Last April, she debuted a burgundy Bolide into her collection, paired with an all-beige fit. While the so-called quiet luxury trend was already well on its way out by then, now there’s no question: stealth wealth is dead, and Jennifer Lawrence’s fluorescent bag killed it.
