Arizona State Sun Devils head coach Kenny Dillingham addressed a peculiar college football tradition. The Sun Devils face the No. 10 Texas Tech Red Raiders this week, and Dillingham is showing some jollity before the game.
“I am open to getting hit by tortillas on fourth downs and third downs," Dillingham said. "Anybody who wants to hit me with a tortilla, if it’s our third down, go for it! If it gives us a 15-yard penalty, I’m all for taking tortillas to the body for the football team.”
The tortilla-throwing tradition was banned last season after Texas Tech was penalized twice because of it. Athletic director Kirby Hocutt promised to ban any fan who throws a tortilla on the field from ticket privileges for the rest of the season.

The two teams met last year, with the Sun Devils winning 26-22.
Texas Tech comes in seeking their second straight 6-0 and a 12-game home winning streak.
Arizona State enters at 3-2 after defeating Hawaii 30-12 last week. They have a tall task ahead as they look to upset one of the nation's few undefeated teams.
Kickoff is set for Saturday, October 17 (3:30 p.m. ET, FOX)
