Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex made their first joint outing this week, since moving back to the UK this summer. While there has been much speculation about where the couple are residing since heading back from the United States, Nottingham was not high on the list of predictions. It therefore must have been a surprise for many to see the couple strolling around the city together.
Of course, Prince Harry and Meghan haven't moved permanently to the location, but are instead visiting a charities and organisations they support in the area. On Thursday (15 October), the Duke and Duchess of Sussex waved and chatted to well-wishers who lined up to greet them. They were photographed on their way to visit The Community Recording Studio (CRS), a youth and community charity established to give young people access to music and recording facilities.

For the important first outing, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, embraced the season in a head to toe 'nightshade' look, with rich burgundy and aubergine. Meghan styled her deep red roll neck jumper with a purple pencil skirt, adding an autumnal midi-length coat to complete the look. Her long, single-breasted coat is a fail-safe choice for the season and instantly smartens up whatever is worn underneath, to pull the whole outfit together. She wore all British brands for the occasion, with the coat jumper and bag being from Joseph, the skirt by The Fold, and her shoes by designer Jennifer Chamandi, according to Town and Country.

Luckily, if you were hoping to take a leaf out of Meghan's style book, we've found a double of her stylish coat for less than £40 on the high street - hers costs north of £1000. The 'Dark Burgundy Open Front Longline Formal Coat' by New Look is fully stocked (at time of writing) in sizes 6 to 22, and comes in a choice of six colours:
While the above has an open fit, we've also found this single-breasted version (more like Meghan's cut) by Sosander at John Lewis which is a super stylish choice. And, if you want to go for the full look, add a roll neck - M&S have one almost identical for £26...
Prince Harry and Meghan took the world by surprise earlier this year when they announced their immediate return to the UK. The news was revealed shortly after Prince Harry's visit to attend the Invictus Games in Birmingham over the summer. Last month, Meghan posted a compilation video of herself, husband Prince Harry and their two children, Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie exploring the UK countryside. It was a first glimpse of their time together since their move.
The majority of the clips were outdoors, showing the family splashing in muddy puddles, trekking through the woods and warming their toes by the fire. In one particular clip, Prince Harry can be seen teaching Lilibet and Archie a classic royal hobby; fishing, something his father, King Charles, enjoys.
