The British-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) is organising a free business event at the Algarve International Circuit in Portimão on Thursday, October 29, focusing on the region’s economic prospects for 2027.
Entitled ‘Algarve Accelerate’, the event will explore how major international events contribute to regional development, alongside funding opportunities available to businesses seeking to invest and expand in the Algarve.
Taking place from 5pm to 7pm at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, the session will be held on the eve of the circuit’s annual Classic Car Festival.
The programme will feature two presentations, followed by an opportunity for participants to network and exchange ideas.
The first presentation, led by a representative of the Algarve International Circuit, will examine the venue’s 2027 events calendar, technological developments and sustainability initiatives, as well as its links with the UK.
Particular attention will be given to the economic impact of major sporting and entertainment events on the Algarve and the opportunities they create for local businesses.
The second presentation will focus on Portugal 2030 funding, with Pedro Neto, from consultancy firm MONERIS, outlining financial support programmes available to businesses in the region.
Topics will include eligibility criteria, application requirements, deadlines and potential funding opportunities to support investment and business growth.
The event is open to participants free of charge, although advance registration is required.
