Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) confronted Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) in Emmerdale today, under the impression he’s been having an affair.
Concern grew earlier this week that Liam was hiding something due to the fact he didn’t agree to Chas’ idea of them spending time together.
In the pub back room, Chas noticed that Liam was distracted by something on his phone. She wondered if they should spend some time together, but Liam claimed that he couldn’t due to how busy he is at work, and also needing to attend a conference.
No bother! Chas suggested that she could come with him. Weirdly, Liam then made an effort to tell Chas that she’d find the conference quite boring, hoping that she would change her mind about going.

Fully convinced that she was being betrayed, Chas went in search for answers in today’s episode, but got a bit of a surprise in the process.
Outside the pub, Liam exited his car with Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker).
To Chas, it looked like a guilty Liam and Manpreet were returning home after spending the night together. While Manpreet confirmed the medical conference was a cover story, Liam said that it was told because they actually attended a murder mystery event. No affair, don’t worry!
Bit harsh to not invite Chas, though.
It turns out there was a reason for that. Liam admitted with a nervous tone that Chas isn’t very good at the murder mysteries.
Liam really stuck that golden dagger award into Chas and kept twisting, as he proceeded to say that her acting isn’t the best either.
Even though she’s fully aware things could be worse, Chas still concluded that she needed to make her partner’s life hell for lying to her.
Time to start running, Liam.
