An accident during a pregame demonstration reportedly caused a delayed kick in UTSA football's home game vs. Navy on Saturday, Oct. 17, when a military officer fell from the rafters at the Alamodome.
According to a report from the San Antonio-Express News, the accident occurred as four Army officers were set to rappel from the rafters as part of the Roadrunners' "Salute to Armed Forces and Veterans" game. The Express News reports that, halfway down, one of the officers slid down much faster than the others, crashing to the ground.

Medical personnel tended to the officer for "roughly 10 minutes" before he was placed on a stretcher and transported from the stadium. Following the incident, event staff reportedly were trying to prepare the Roadrunners for their entrance.
The Express News, citing a UTSA spokesperson, reported the officer was transported to a nearby hospital.
Requests for comment and an update as to the officer's health were not immediately returned by UTSA to USA TODAY.
UTSA, 5-1 and 2-0 in American Conference play, led Navy (2-3, 1-2 American) 21-20 at halftime in San Antonio.
