Former Public Service Minister Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth has lost the SPLM primaries for the Longechuk Constituency National Assembly seat to Gach Wuol Guandong.
In a statement posted on Facebook on Thursday, Lol said he received 44 votes, while Guandong secured 131.
Lol acknowledged the outcome and called on SPLM members to uphold unity, peace and reconciliation.
He also thanked the SPLM High-Level Committee, led by Magueth Deng Kuol, for overseeing the primaries in Longechuk County.
Despite raising concerns over alleged misinformation and intimidation during the electoral process, Lol urged party members to set aside their differences and maintain peace and stability.
Eye Radio will continue to provide updates as more results from the SPLM primaries come in.
