It has three simple settings and is so easy to clean.
Soup and stew season is officially here (yes, even with the occasional but fleeting 80 degree day), and there’s no easier way to get a cozy dinner on the table than with a slow cooker. Just toss in your ingredients in the morning and come home to a meal that’s ready well before dinnertime. Right now, the Crock-Pot 7-Quart Manual Slow Cooker is 40 percent off on Amazon, bringing the price to well under $40. Translation: There’s never been a better time to grab one.
It’s big enough to feed the whole family with plenty left over, making it a weeknight lifesaver year round, but especially throughout fall and winter.
Deal of the day
This 7-quart slow cooker is a no-fuss kitchen workhorse that keeps things refreshingly simple in a world of app-run appliances. With just three settings (low, high and warm), there are no complicated menus or buttons to figure out. Set it, walk away and let it slowly turn tough cuts of meat, dried beans and fresh vegetables into tender, flavorful soups, stews and other meals. The oval shape fits a whole roast or chicken, and the generous capacity can easily feed nine or more people. One shopper loves it so much that they say it’s the “best purchase I’ve made over the years.” They wrote that they’re “trying to get all my friends to start meal prepping with this pot because of how good it is and how large it is for the price.”
Cleanup is just as easy as cooking. The stoneware insert and glass lid are removable and can go straight into the dishwasher, and the stoneware is also safe in the oven and microwave. The stainless steel exterior looks sleek enough to leave on the counter all season — something to note for all those holiday dinners you may end up hosting. At 40 percent off, this is an easy way to bring home a reliable slow cooker just in time for chili nights and chilly nights, Sunday pot roasts and big pots of soup all winter long.
