Match summary
Undeterred by the challenging pitch conditions, our team was rewarded with an early opening goal. Following two promising attempts - Emelie Kobler narrowly missing a cross, and Valentina Akrap firing a long-range effort over the bar - we took the lead: a corner from Schirmbrand eluded goalkeeper Schvirjan, but captain Aldina Hamzic was there at the far post to tap it in. The attempted clearance by the Burgenland side came only after the ball had already crossed the line (10')!
Facing a host side prone to defensive errors, Dusan Pavlovic’s squad pushed quickly for a second goal. Lena Triendl missed the target following a communication breakdown among the home defenders, and several other chances also went begging (19', 26', 31'). Nevertheless, we headed into the break with a comfortable two-goal cushion: Maria Plattner pressed high, won possession, and delivered a cross into the middle. Although goalkeeper Schvirjan managed to parry the initial delivery under pressure, Alessia Pamminger was on hand to convert the rebound (34').
Little changed after the break - our side looked closer to scoring a third goal, and eventually, it arrived. Triendl - who had been unlucky in a transition play earlier - managed to break free from her marker during a corner kick. Left unmarked, the summer signing slotted the ball home to claim her first Bundesliga goal in our colors (67').
That effectively sealed the result. Although further chances - the best of which fell to substitute Magdalena Schwarz in the closing stages (80') - went unconverted, our Salzburg side are celebrating a third consecutive league victory!

We knew today would be a very difficult match, as our opponents had been in excellent form recently. Their away win against LASK was no fluke - they have real quality in their ranks. Playing on this pitch was far from easy. I am very pleased with our energy and with every single player. It was a mature team performance - there was never any doubt about who would win. We showed great mentality and secured a thoroughly deserved victory. As well as the three goals, we also managed to create numerous other chances. Everything was spot on!
