LG Electronics (066570) is accelerating its push into Europe's business-to-business market by supplying large-capacity commercial laundry machines to a German laundry solutions provider. The company aims to expand its footprint in the commercial laundry market with high-efficiency products powered by artificial intelligence and remote management services.
LG Electronics said on the 25th that it will supply its LG Professional commercial laundry equipment next month to Schilling, a German laundry solutions company that supplies and installs laundry equipment at dry cleaners and laundromats across Germany. LG Electronics' European commercial laundry revenue for January through September this year rose about 20% from the same period a year earlier.
LG Professional uses AI to analyze laundry weight and optimize water usage and drying conditions. A high-speed spin function rotating up to 18 times per second shortens drying time, while automatic correction of drum imbalance reduces vibration and noise.
LG Electronics also took part in Expo Detergo International 2026, Europe's largest laundry trade show, which opened in Milan, Italy, on the 23rd. The company set up a 90-square-meter booth, more than twice the size of its previous exhibit, showcasing laundry machines ranging from 10 kilograms to 30 kilograms in capacity along with remote management solutions.
The company is also expanding in North America and Asia. Shipments this year to CSC ServiceWorks, the largest commercial laundry solutions provider in the U.S., more than doubled from last year. Over the past three years, North American commercial laundry revenue has grown an average of 41% annually. LG Electronics is also strengthening partnerships with local distributors in Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam.
"We will grow quickly in the global B2B laundry market on the strength of high-efficiency commercial laundry machines and differentiated management solutions," said Son Chang-woo, head of LG Electronics' Living Solution Business Division.
