Monster Hunter Outlanders launches October 29 on iOS and Android. Review the seven-weapon roster, Charge Blade, 4-player co-op, and the hardware requirements first.
Capcom's mobile Monster Hunter spin-off arrives next week. Monster Hunter Outlanders launches on iOS and Android on October 29, 2026, with a separate mainland China version scheduled to follow in 2027. TiMi Studio Group, a Tencent subsidiary, developed the free-to-play open-world survival game under license from Capcom, which supervised the project. Capcom and TiMi first announced it in November 2024, and pre-registration is now open on the App Store and Google Play.
Weapons and combat
The official website lists seven weapon types at launch: the Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Heavy Bowgun, and Bow. Producer Dong Huang also confirmed that the Charge Blade will be available at launch. Both Huang and Capcom's Ryozo Tsujimoto say more monsters, weapons, and areas will arrive in future updates. Combat offers two control schemes, one aimed at series veterans and one at mobile-first players, and the game does not use auto-combat. The launch build also adds an original Elder Dragon called Ruger Aidal.
Open world and co-op
The hunt takes place on Aesoland, a world divided into biomes that include forests, swamps, and deserts. Trailers have shown a glider, climbing, swimming, and a grappling hook for getting around, while a building system lets players set up launchers, ziplines, and gliding facilities to speed up travel. Real-time co-op supports parties of up to four hunters, with guild and fixed-team options for regular groups. Every adventurer is joined by a buddy, including the series' familiar Palico.
Regional publishing differs. Garena handles Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, while Level Infinite, Tencent's global games brand, has also promoted the game.
Requirements and monetization
Monster Hunter Outlanders is free-to-play with in-app purchases, and Adventurers are obtained through gacha-style pulls. For Android, pre-launch guidance calls for Android 12, 8 GB of RAM, and a Snapdragon 888 processor or equivalent.
On iOS, the game needs an iPhone 12 or newer running iOS 17. The App Store listing shows a 3.6 GB initial download, although closed beta players have reported a build closer to 40 GB. Those hardware figures come from beta-era guidance, so the final requirements on the store pages may differ.
