Sydney Sweeney is betting that people will check out her latest topless ad for prediction market Novig.
Did she win?
The Euphoria star has, once again, stripped down, wearing nothing but white Novig-branded boxer briefs — which you may recognize from her first ad.
The Novig partner and the company shared the video of the latest “Just Sports” ad on social media on Sunday, with Sweeney already amassing 18.4 million views on her Instagram post, as of press time.
‘Just sports,’ take two
“There are grown men making spreadsheets to bet on what color underwear I’m wearing,” Sweeney says in her opening line, after her apparent naked silhouette is seen strolling away from the camera.
“I mean, I’m flattered?”
Sweeney, 29, then rattles off other bizarre markets offered on other prediction market platforms.
“There’s insider trading on dictators dying and armies of bots manipulating it all,” she continues.
“There’s someone sitting in a bathroom stall betting their 401K on a war,” she added. “And then, there are people who just trade on sports.”
And just like the first ad, it ends with a topless Sweeney covering her heaving bosom while giving two footballs a run for their money, assuring, “Novig is just sports.”
Panned or according to plan?
Novig’s first collaboration with Sweeney ignited a furor, with many — notably, female athletes — outraged that the Anyone But You actress would seemingly depict women in sports as nothing but objects rather than empower them.
However, others argued that the ad wasn’t offensive at all and merely targeted men who gamble on sports and like hot, naked women.

Novig has benefited greatly from the back and forth, boosting its valuation from $500 million earlier this year to $2 billion, per the Wall Street Journal.
And as a partner with Novig, Sweeney has hit the jackpot, not only seeing her own popularity rise, despite the backlash of the first ad, but also with her equity share in the company.
What other Sweeney ads sparked criticism?
Sweeney is no stranger to controversial ads.
Her “great jeans” spots for American Eagle last year drew criticism for what some perceived as racial undertones and the apparent subtext of the campaign, with many calling out the retailer and the actress for “white supremacy” and “Nazi propaganda” over the phrase “great genes (jeans?).”
Similar to Novig, American Eagle’s stock went up after its collaboration with the Housemaid star.
The clothing brand noted in a news release that the actress “brings the allure,” following the ads’ debut.
“Sweeney’s girl next door charm and main character energy — paired with her ability to not take herself too seriously — is the hallmark of this bold, playful campaign.”
