ILHAN OMAR’S REAL NAME EXPOSED AS ILHAN NUR SAID ELMI IN FEDERAL FILING BY U.S. ATTORNEY JEANINE PIRRO
Jeanine Pirro, the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, has put it on the record in a federal court filing. Prosecutors identified the Minnesota congresswoman as Congresswoman Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar.
That is not a rumor. That is the language used by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in a motion tied to a search warrant executed on Omar’s Washington, D.C. residence as part of an ongoing investigation into potential immigration fraud.
Pirro has made clear her office is examining whether the naturalization process was completed with precise and accurate information. Immigration applications require truthful reporting of names and identity. Using one name on official documents while living under another raises direct questions about compliance with the law.
The name Ilhan Nur Said Elmi matches the surname of her former husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. For years, critics have pointed to that 2009 marriage and asked whether it was used to secure immigration benefits. Omar has repeatedly denied marrying a relative. Her office continues to insist that Ilhan Omar is her real name.
Federal investigators have already collected evidence during the search. Sources familiar with the probe say the inquiry is active and that the use of the Elmi name in official filings is deliberate. Attorney General Todd Blanche noted that prosecutors do not invent names in court documents.
Pirro has stated that her office pursues public corruption and immigration violations without regard to party. The filing treats the identity question as material to the case. Every form, every benefit, and every sworn statement tied to naturalization can be reviewed when the underlying name is disputed
Omar’s defenders call the entire matter a conspiracy. The court record now shows federal prosecutors referring to her by a different legal name while an investigation proceeds. That is the development on the table.
