Naboo, a Paris start-up that books and manages events for large companies, has rebranded, it said on Tuesday. It now pitches itself to procurement and finance teams as well as to event organisers.
The company says it handles more than $300 million of corporate events a year, and that its AI saves clients 12% per event on average. It did not say how it measures those savings.
Naboo’s pitch is that event planners and event payers want different things. Organisers want speed and simple booking, while finance and procurement teams want to see and control spending. Naboo says its platform now serves both groups in one place.
To do that, it uses AI agents that work in the background. They handle parts of finding suppliers, working out what a client needs, and repetitive admin, Naboo said. They also negotiate quotes with suppliers straight away.
“AI now allows us to absorb much of the complexity in the background, so that our teams can devote more time to advice, support and service quality,” said Bryan Kulka, Naboo’s head of brand and communications.
The new look was created by design agency Bleed. With it, Naboo no longer presents itself as just a site for booking events, but as a system that connects event, procurement, and finance teams.
The rebrand follows a busy year. In February, Naboo raised a $70 million Series B led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and opened an office in New York.
At the time, it said it wanted to move into wider procurement, with an AI booking agent and a corporate payment card.
Naboo was founded in 2022 by Maxime Eduardo, Antoine Servant, Lucien Bredin, and Jean-Louis Villeminot. It now has 180 staff in eight countries, and counts about a quarter of the firms on France’s CAC 40 index among its clients. Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Siemens are customers too, it said.
It is not the only company using AI to haggle with suppliers. Vertice, which bought rival Vendr in June, runs an AI negotiation agent for software contracts.
