Billboard and Starlite Music Group, the Spanish company that organizes the famous annual festivals in Marbella and Madrid, announced on Tuesday (Oct. 20) that they will collaborate once again on a Billboard No. 1s event in 2026 and 2027, further solidifying the strategic alliance that began last year with the first edition of the Billboard event held outside of the United States.
The announcement was made during Billboard Latin Music Week at the Faena Forum in Miami Beach, Fla., in a panel led by Leila Cobo of Billboard and Sandra García-Sanjuán of Starlite Music Group.

“We’ve strengthened this strategic alliance, and Billboard No. 1s returns to Starlite Madrid this Christmas as part of Starlite Occident, which will take place Dec. 11-23. We will be back for this edition, once again serving as the bridge between America and Spain,” said García-Sanjuán, co-founder and executive president of Starlite Music Group.
“It’s going to be three consecutive years, which truly solidifies this bridge and this alliance that we are building together — Billboard and Starlite — to create opportunities for artists, so that Latin artists can have their home in Spain and Spanish artists can gain visibility in America through such an important platform as Billboard, which is the Bible of music,” she added.
Meanwhile, Cobo, Billboard‘s co-executive director of content, said: “This is also part of our commitment to bring the Billboard brand to other markets, and Spain is obviously the gateway to Europe, so we are very excited about this partnership.”
The next edition of Billboard No. 1s Spain will take place in December at IFEMA Madrid as part of the programming for Starlite Occident Madrid, a series of concerts that spans two weeks in the Spanish capital. The exact date of the event will be announced soon, and the evening will feature performances from artists who have reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hits of the World Spain Songs chart, along with special recognitions.
The first edition was held in December 2025 and included performances by international Spanish stars such as Ana Mena, Pablo Alborán, Rozalén, India Martínez and Vanesa Martín, alongside legendary Cuban jazz musician Chucho Valdés, American pianist Arthur Hanlon and Lebanese-born violinist Ara Malikian. The event, which drew over 5,000 attendees, marked the first time that Billboard No. 1s was held outside of the U.S., as well as the first time it celebrated music in Spanish.
