Shilo Sanders startles a woman at her door, then gets spooked by Miami rents

Shilo Sanders’ apartment hunt has had a little bit of everything: an unexpected moment at a woman’s door, a tour that got fans talking about the real estate agent, and rent prices that made him stop and think.

In one of his recent YouTube videos, Sanders and the person helping him find a place arrive at an apartment, but the woman who answers the door does not seem to understand English. Sanders tries a few words in Spanish, including “cash,” but the conversation goes nowhere and they can’t get inside to see the unit.

The awkward exchange wasn’t the only moment viewers noticed. During another tour, Sanders seemed to hit it off with the woman showing him the apartment, prompting fans to joke that he might have been more interested in her than in the place.

The apartment itself had plenty to consider, but the search kept circling back to the same question: how much was he willing to pay to live in South Florida?

Shilo Sanders is building a life beyond football

There is no reliable public estimate of Shilo Sanders’ current net worth. Bankruptcy filings from 2023 listed roughly $11.3 million in liabilities. His reported assets were later revised to about $320,000.

Those are figures from a past filing, not a snapshot of his finances today. Sanders is still seeking to discharge an $11.89 million civil judgment. His bankruptcy trial ended in September, but the judge extended the deadline for final written arguments, pushing a decision to January 2027 or later.

Some viewers might assume Shilo can easily afford a nice apartment, but his finances remain difficult to pin down. As he looks for a place of his own, he is also turning the search into content for his YouTube channel. The channel gives him a way to build his work as a creator while looking for the home he wants, though his earnings from it have not been made public. music.youtube.com

Well Off Media continues to post behind-the-scenes videos about Colorado football, but it is run by Shilo’s older brother, Deion Sanders Jr., and is separate from the university’s own media operation.

His father, Colorado head coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, signed a five-year, $54 million contract extension that runs through the 2029 season. The deal lists a $10 million base salary for 2026.

You might think Shilo can simply pick a place and pay the rent. But with Miami prices this high and his bankruptcy case still unresolved, he’s taking his time. For now, he’s bringing viewers along as he looks for somewhere that feels like home.
