Read on for all the details from Bruno Mars’ first B.C. Place concert in Vancouver, including any surprise songs, show-stopping moments and more.
Still hoping to see Bruno Mars at B.C. Place tonight?
The good news: There are still plenty of resale tickets available. The bad news: They’ll cost you.
Tickets remain available on Ticketmaster and StubHub for the pop superstar’s opening Vancouver show on Oct. 14, with prices varying widely by seat location and seller.
On Ticketmaster, single tickets start at $145, including fees, and climb to more than $1,000. The priciest listing is $1,950. Going as a couple? Two seats together start at $180 per person, while floor seats can cost as much as $1,725 each — or about $3,480 for a pair.
StubHub prices are broadly similar. As of Wednesday morning, single tickets started at around $150 and climbed to about $1,420. There are also plenty of options in the floor and lower-bowl sections, with some seats listed for $400 to $600.
SkyTrain riders may hear a familiar voice while pulling up to Vancouver’s Stadium-Chinatown station this week.
Pop superstar Bruno Mars is the first musical artist to lend his smooth speaking voice to a SkyTrain station announcement, said TransLink. The singer kicks off a record-breaking five-show run at B.C. Place on Wednesday.
The announcements will play at Stadium-Chinatown station on Mars’ concert dates: Oct. 14, 16, 17, 20 and 21.
“Most people don’t expect to hear Bruno Mars while they’re heading to work, school, or a concert,” said TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn in a statement Wednesday. “That’s what makes this so much fun, because it brings the concert experience to SkyTrain customers.”
The collaboration with Warner Music Canada will also generate additional revenue for TransLink, Quinn said.
