What it means for you
For a reader in the United States, the rand keeps most of these tickets cheap. Apart from Ne-Yo, every ticket listed here costs less than US$35.
If you are planning a long stay, book Dracula and Don Giovanni early, as both are short runs. Foreign cards sometimes fail on local ticket platforms, so keep a second payment method.
Planning Your Cape Town October
October is spring in Cape Town, with mild days and cooler evenings. South Africa has no national public holiday in October 2026, so shops and offices keep normal hours.
Webtickets sells Ne-Yo, Don Giovanni, Into the Woods and Dracula, while Quicket sells the kite and film festivals. Check the organiser’s page before you pay, because platforms add booking fees.
Ride-share is the easiest way home from Goodwood, Ottery and Camps Bay at night. For more on the country, read our South Africa coverage and the explainer on South African history.
If you are in the city in December, French Montana plays Cape Town on 4 December. For the same month in a different city, see our Monterrey guide.
