Robert Lewandowski leads the list of players with the most goals in their first 100 UEFA Champions League appearances, ahead of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
According to Planet Football on Thursday, the Polish striker scored 81 goals in his first 100 appearances in Europe’s premier club competition, underlining his reputation as one of the most prolific forwards of his generation.
Messi ranks second with 77 goals, while Mbappe occupies third place with 72 goals after reaching the 100-appearance milestone in October 2026.
Despite his impressive record, Mbappe is still chasing his first Champions League title. The Real Madrid forward previously reached the final with Paris Saint-Germain in 2020 but finished on the losing side against Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski’s position at the top of the ranking reflects his remarkable consistency at the highest level. The former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich striker eventually finished with 109 Champions League goals in 144 appearances, winning the trophy with Bayern during the 2019-20 campaign.
Messi, meanwhile, enjoyed several prolific seasons with Barcelona, scoring at least 10 goals in the competition in five different campaigns. He reached 100 appearances in 2015, when Barcelona went on to win the Champions League.
Mbappe’s tally of 72 goals places him ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 64 times in his first 100 appearances. The Portuguese superstar went on to establish himself as the competition’s all-time leading goalscorer, with 140 goals and five Champions League titles.
Former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema ranks fifth with 53 goals in his first 100 appearances. The Frenchman eventually scored 90 Champions League goals and won the competition five times with the Spanish giants.
Real Madrid legend Raul completes the top six with 51 goals in his first 100 appearances. He was the first player to reach 100 Champions League appearances and finished his career in the competition with 71 goals, including five for Schalke.
The figures underline the extraordinary standards set by some of the greatest forwards in Champions League history. While Lewandowski leads the ranking, Mbappe’s third-place position suggests he could challenge the leading marks if he maintains his scoring rate.
