One of the best rivalries in the NFL today is between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals. Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow have transformed this divisional battle into must-see TV. Both quarterbacks take this game seriously every time. Lamar Jackson is trending in the right direction and could return this week for what should be another high-scoring battle. Lamar Jackson's return not only bodes well for the Baltimore Ravens as a whole, but also gives Ja'Kobi Lane a great chance to break out as a result.
Lamar and Lane both created a special connection in the offseason. The duo dominated all training camp long. With both of these players getting injured, we have not been able to see them share the field for a good amount of time just yet.
There would be no better week than this one, seeing who the opponent is. The Cincinnati Bengals will put up points in this game. Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins, and Ja'Marr Chase will each have big performances. Lamar will need all hands on deck to combat that. I think this is the game where we see the Lamar-to-Lane connection finally have its moment.
Lane is a nightmare guard for corners and safeties. He will be the weapon that produces at the highest level for the Ravens. Last week in his return, he had 4 catches for 40 yards with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley. This week with Lamar, he will have 100 yards and a touchdown to help propel the Ravens to a necessary win in their division. Just like Lane did at USC in his college career, he will step up for the Ravens in a must-win game.
