Apollo Hospitals Chennai, in collaboration with Apollo Clinic Dhanmondi, Dhaka (Licensee: JMI Specialized Hospital PLC), recently organized an International Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program for Doctors.
The scientific event gathered nearly 100 Bangladeshi medical students, postgraduate residents, and consultant physicians at the Apollo Clinic Dhanmondi premises, providing a platform to exchange knowledge with internationally renowned medical experts.
The CME seminar featured two highly specialized scientific sessions titled “Current Concepts in Hip Disorders and Malignant Bone Tumors in Children” and “A Paradigm Shift in Pediatric Urology.” Keynote presentations were delivered by Dr. Jimmy Shad, an experienced Pediatric Urology Surgeon, and Dr. Shankar R., a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon, both from Apollo Hospitals Chennai.
The sessions were moderated by Dr. Tamjeed Alam, Chief Executive Officer of Apollo Clinic Dhanmondi.
During the event, Apollo Clinic Dhanmondi highlighted its key clinical milestones, which include serving more than 22,000 outpatient (OPD) patients, treating over 2,500 inpatient (IPD) cases, and successfully performing more than 1,000 surgical procedures. Notably, the clinic reported a surgical site infection (SSI) rate of less than 1pc, reflecting its strict adherence to international standards of patient safety and quality care.
This initiative marks a significant step forward in the growing collaboration between JMI Specialized Hospital PLC, one of Bangladesh’s leading healthcare providers, and the Apollo Hospitals network, which spans over 76 hospitals and 700+ clinics across multiple countries.
