Kraken’s token delisting has ended trading and deposits for 13 assets, but holders still have time to withdraw them. The exchange stopped those services on October 23, 2026, at 14:00 UTC; withdrawals remain available until January 29, 2027, at 15:00 UTC, before remaining balances enter liquidation.
Key takeaways
- Kraken’s trading halt and withdrawal deadline are separate.
- Withdrawals need a destination supporting the correct token and network.
- Liquidation is scheduled for February 1–12, 2027, without assured recovery.
Which assets does Kraken’s token delisting cover?
According to Kraken’s official notice, last updated on October 8, 2026, the tokens affected include BMB, ELX, APU, BDXN, DUCK, BOS, U, OBOL, IDEX, FIS, UXLINK, ALTHEA and NOBODY.
The October 23 cutoff applied to both trading and deposits. A balance remaining visible in an account does not establish that the asset can still be traded on Kraken.
The withdrawal deadline comes before liquidation
Holders have until January 29, 2027, at 15:00 UTC to remove the affected tokens. Kraken has scheduled the liquidation period for February 1–12, 2027.
The Kraken token delisting therefore has three distinct stages: the trading and deposit cutoff, the withdrawal window, and liquidation. Kraken warns that balances left after the withdrawal deadline face liquidation with possible losses and no assured recovery value.
Withdrawals require more than a matching ticker
A withdrawal requires a receiving wallet or service that supports the actual token and network. The end of trading does not immediately remove withdrawal access, but the destination must also be able to accept the asset.
A matching ticker on another service is not enough to confirm compatibility. Tickers can be reused, and tokens can exist in different technical forms. The receiving service’s deposit status matters alongside Kraken’s withdrawal availability.
Moving assets into personal custody also transfers control and responsibility to the holder. Possession, recovery arrangements and access to trading remain separate questions.
Liquidation proceeds depend on available demand
Kraken warns that thin or inactive markets can leave liquidation proceeds far below recent quoted prices. With limited demand, the amount recovered can be negligible or zero.
Even when only a handful of buyers can absorb a bigger balance, a tiny final trade can still set a noticeable price. How much a full position nets upon liquidation hinges on the level of demand present at that moment.
Kraken’s notice provides neither a minimum sale price nor a guaranteed recovery percentage for balances entering liquidation.
