Let’s just say that a Lululemon x Ganni collaboration was not on the 2026 fashion bingo card. What could the world’s best-known athletic apparel brand and the definitive Copenhagen cool-girl brand create together? Something remarkable, as it turns out.
The 22-piece collection, which launches today and is bound to sell out, is an example of what a great collaboration can achieve: cool, covetable clothing and accessories that are representative of both brands while also achieving something fresh for each.
The collection also clearly isn’t afraid of having some fun, with pieces inspired by 1980s workout gear and Flashdance flair.
The leggings, tops, jackets, shorts and shoes feature Ganni signatures (feminine frills, leopard print, streaks of yellow) wrought in lululemon’s technical proprietary fabrics. They’re a retro treat in an athleisure world dominated by neutral tones and Pilates girl separates. You could wear them to the gym but just as easily pair them with daywear.

When Jonathan Cheung, lululemon’s Global Creative Director, put the idea of a collab to Ditte Reffstrup, Ganni’s Creative Director, she was sure that the collection should be inspired by dance rather than something more predictable, like Pilates. Reffstrup calls it a “surprise collab but not a surprise”, and says she enjoyed taking lululemon’s technical gear and “Gannifying” it.
The campaign features a real-life Flashdance star, actor Jennifer Beals, as well as singer Mette, who opened for Taylor Swift at Wembley during the Eras Tour.
“It all comes from movement,” says Cheung. “When we first started talking about the collection, Ditte said her movement practice was dance, and everything flowed from there.”

Highlights include a leopard print tank (£100, Ganni.com) and leggings (£150, Ganni.com), which look great layered under a cropped, balloon-sleeved grey sweatshirt (£200, Ganni.com), which is unbelievably soft thanks to lululemon’s ‘Softstreme’ fabric. At the most Ganni end of the spectrum, there’s a frilled white dress (£260, Ganni.com) that’s sure to be in high demand.
It’s made from sweat-wicking, abrasion-resistant material, so it could be worn to work out in, although it would be a shame to confine it to the gym. Ditto a track jacket (£220, Ganni.com) and trouser set (£200, Ganni.com) that comes in black and white, with pink and turquoise detailing, respectively.

At the press preview in New York yesterday, an international crowd was keen to snap up the accessories too, especially a leopard print flask (£60, Ganni.com) and ‘Flatmate’ pumps that feature a pretty frill and are designed to be worn ‘to and from the studio’ (£150, Ganni.com). Reffstrup also made a case for integrating the pieces into your everyday wardrobe; she paired the black track trousers with a Ganni T-shirt and striped blazer to great effect.
If there’s one thing for sure, it’s that this is not a collab to sit on. Shop now or forever hold your peace.
