Stephen A. Smith interviewed NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin and asked a number of interesting questions, including who is the most overhyped team in the league right now.
On that front, Smith made it clear that he thinks that the Los Angeles Rams are the most overhyped.
The Rams are 2-3 ahead of their week six game, losing to the Buffalo Bills in their previous match.
Stephen A. Smith says Los Angeles Rams are overhyped
Speaking on the ‘Stephen A. Smith Sports’ YouTube channel, Smith asked Irvin to name the most overhyped team in football but before his guest could give an answer, Smith said: “That’s an easy one. I don’t know why it’s hard for you.”
Irvin responded: “Do you think the Rams are the most overhyped team right now?”
The sports analyst replied: “Absolutely the Rams right now.”
But the NFL Hall of Famer then suggested why the Rams may not be overhyped, explaining: “I knew you were going to say that. But let me tell you why it’s hard for me to go there because I believe the Rams are a very good football team.
“You look at their record, I would take, if the Cowboys were the Rams, I would be happy.
“I would be happy because I know that’s just a click and all of that’s going to fix with the Rams. That’s just a click. They’ll get Myles Garrett soon… they’re one play away from being undefeated. That’s why I’m saying that I don’t know if they’re overhyped or they just haven’t clicked.”
The Rams are currently third in the NFC West and it already looks very unlikely they will be able to catch the San Francisco 49ers this season.
But they could, if they put together a decent run of form, overtake the Seattle Seahawks, who are now 3-3 after they were beaten by the Denver Broncos to kick off week six.
