Welcome to the New York Giants betting angle, Week 6 edition! Each week, I’m giving you my three favorite wagers for that week’s New York Giants game. My one rule: I won’t ever give you wagers that are less than -120. No gimmes!
For the second straight week, the Giants are underdogs to a team with a worse record. The first-place Giants are 3-1-1 after last week’s miracle tie with the Commanders. Their opponent this week is New Orleans, who sits at 1-4 after dropping three straight home games to the Raiders, Falcons, and Vikings, and allowing 103 points in the process. The game is at MetLife stadium, and the Saints are favored by 1.5 points. Hmm.
True, in their two road games the Saints took the Lions to overtime and upset the Ravens, and they’ve beaten the Giants in each of the last three seasons. Still, the line is surprising to me, and you’ll see that in my picks. Are the Giants a good team? The oddsmakers are apparently very skeptical.
For the fourth straight week, the Giants are facing a team who, like them, picked in the Top-10 in the 2026 draft last April. Three of those games are at home. This is the easy stretch of the schedule, and Big Blue is taking advantage of that. We’ll see if that continues on Sunday.
I’m still on a heater – My picks were 2-1 last week, 8-1 over the past three weeks, and 10-5 on the season. I’ll try to keep giving out winners here in Week 6.
Let’s get to this week’s picks. All lines and odds are from Fanduel and are as of Saturday, October 17. Perfect fall weather is expected on Sunday, with moderate winds.
The line for the game is Saints -1.5, with a game total of 45.5.

- Giants moneyline (-104). I’m sorry, but the Saints shouldn’t be favored over New York, and especially on the road. New Orleans shouldn’t be favored over more than a handful of teams. They can’t run the ball, or stop the run, and while they’re certainly capable of putting up points and beating good teams, they’re 1-4 for a reason. If you want to take the points, the juice is (-122), so I think the moneyline is giving a better price. You’re only surrendering two outcomes: The Giants losing by a point, or a second straight tie.
- Game total OVER 45.5. Kellen Moore’s offense runs fast. They average 74 plays per game, which trails only the Bears. More plays often translates to a decent number of points. But on the flip side, New Orleans has given up 151 points in five games (30.1 per game), and only Arizona is worse than that. James Winston is settling in, and New York put up 63 points over the last two weeks. All signs point me to the over.
- Cam Skattebo most rushing yards in game (-120). Skattebo’s untimely fumble in overtime last week should’ve cost Big Blue the game, but Jayden Daniels let them off the hook when he let time expire with his team in field goal range. I expect plenty of Skat on Sunday, rather than a visit to the doghouse for fumbling. The way to beat the Saints is to ram it down their throats. New Orleans brings in the NFL’s 30th-ranked run defense. They also have the 29th-ranked rushing offense, and with a committee approach taken I don’t see any of their backs outgaining Skattebo. That leaves New York’s other backs and the quarterbacks. I’ll take my chances there.
Those are the picks for Week 6. Good luck with your wagers! And if you play fantasy football, be sure to check out my Week 6 fantasy preview, with start/sit advice and more, right here.
