A member of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and Deputy Director, Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation, Kazeem Akinola, has commenced full grassroots mobilisation in Oyo State as he leads the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Akinola, who is also the Oyo State Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, flagged off the statewide mobilisation drive during the inauguration of the movement’s Oyo State chapter held on Thursday at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan.
Addressing party faithful and supporters at the event, Akinola said the movement was poised to deepen its door-to-door engagement across all zones, wards and polling units in the state to secure overwhelming victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in 2027.
He expressed optimism that Oyo State would surpass its 2023 performance, recalling that the state delivered the highest votes for President Tinubu in the South-West in the last presidential election.
“Oyo State gave President Bola Tinubu the highest votes in the South-West in 2023. We will give the President the highest votes in Nigeria in 2027. Let us work hard to achieve this,” Kazeem charged.
He disclosed that the movement’s mobilisation capacity has been boosted with the donation of 32 branded campaign vehicles by Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.
According to him, each of the 32 vehicles is equipped with sound systems and generators to aid effective grassroots campaign for the re-election of President Tinubu.
“The 32 vehicles are equipped with sound systems, two big stickers and generators for the Door-to-Door movement for the campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of Tompolo, his representative at the event, Chief Kestin Pondi, said the donation was to facilitate the movement’s voter engagement and strengthen its presence across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State.
The inauguration attracted a large crowd of APC leaders, candidates and supporters, including the APC governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli; the Movement’s Coordinator, Sunday Adekanbi Asuku; APC Central Senatorial Chairman, Dr Joshua Oyebanji; Hon Yemi Aderibigbe; Hon Afeez Bolaji Repete; and House of Representatives candidates, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe and Hon Folake Oshinowo-Olunloyo, among others.
Akinola said the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement will deploy its structures to every household as part of renewed efforts to consolidate the APC’s grassroots dominance, while also aligning with broader engagements of the Presidential Campaign Council, led by its Director-General, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, with traditional institutions, including the Olubadan of Ibadanland and the Alaafin of Oyo.
