LS Eco Energy has surpassed its full-year 2025 revenue and operating profit in just the first nine months of 2026, demonstrating rapid growth. Strong power cable exports to Europe and North America, along with expanding supplies of power distribution equipment for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, provided the foundation for its record performance.
LS Eco Energy announced in a preliminary earnings disclosure on Oct. 20 that its third-quarter consolidated revenue reached 351.5 billion won, or approximately $264.48 million, with operating profit of 22.2 billion won. Revenue rose 51.0% and operating profit increased 50.2% from a year earlier, both reaching record highs for a third quarter. Net profit stood at 14 billion won.
The pace of cumulative growth is particularly notable. Revenue for the first nine months of 2026 reached 987.3 billion won, while operating profit totaled 67.5 billion won, already exceeding the company's full-year 2025 revenue of 960.1 billion won and operating profit of 66.8 billion won. Having surpassed the previous year's results before factoring in the fourth quarter, LS Eco Energy appears poised to achieve record annual performance for a third consecutive year.
A key driver of this earnings growth has been busduct systems, which deliver large amounts of electricity through conductors enclosed in metal casings. Demand for the equipment has surged alongside the boom in AI data center construction. In particular, continued investment in hyperscale data centers by global technology companies in Asian markets, including Malaysia and Indonesia, has driven related revenue to approximately two to three times its year-earlier level.
Expanding power grid investment in Europe and North America also contributed to the strong performance. Power cable exports remained robust as demand for replacing aging grids coincided with infrastructure investment driven by the transition to renewable energy. While power cables connect external electricity networks, busduct systems serve as internal "power highways" within data centers, reliably supplying electricity to servers and helping improve profitability.
To meet surging demand, LS Eco Energy is moving ahead with proactive investment in production facilities. The company has decided to establish a high-capacity busduct production facility at LSCV, its manufacturing subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Mass production is targeted for the second half of 2027, with the investment expected to strengthen its ability to secure additional orders from global technology companies.
The company's rare earth metal business, another future growth driver, is also taking shape. Having begun construction of a samarium metal production facility for defense applications at LSCV in September, LS Eco Energy plans to begin full-scale production by the end of 2026. Samarium is a key element used in permanent magnets for defense and aerospace applications because of its ability to retain magnetic properties at high temperatures.
LS Eco Energy CEO Lee Sang-ho said, "We expect revenue and operating profit to continue growing as expanding exports to Europe and North America are complemented by new businesses in AI data centers and rare earth metals." The company aims to diversify its earnings structure by adding high-value-added power distribution equipment and rare earth businesses to its established power cable operations.
