The figures were revealed in a January-September human rights monitoring report by the Human Rights Support Society (HRSS). It released the report in a media statement today (19 October).
It said that the incidents, involving political disputes, turf wars, and election-related clashes, along with extrajudicial killings, mob violence, and deaths in prisons, have raised concerns over the country's human rights situation.
The organisation compiled the monitoring report based on news published in 16 national dailies, its own data collection, and fact-finding reports.
