Like the colors in autumn, so bright...
Taylor Swift, "All Too Well: The Short Film" Taylor Swift/YouTube
Autumn is a big deal in the Taylor Swift universe. The pop star herself is a self-professed lover of the season and, every year at this time, countless fans recreate her iconic chai sugar cookie recipe.
But most importantly, Swift’s catalog features an abundance of fall-coded songs that each Swiftie returns to in full force every autumn, with “All Too Well” arguably serving as the crown jewel of that sub-section of her music. There are plenty of tracks on which she directly references the season, while others just feel like fall, be it through allusions to wooded areas or chilly air or reconnecting with old hometown flames around the holidays.
In honor of the fandom’s collective favorite time of year, Billboard is rounding up the performer’s 13 most autumnal songs. You’ll notice that almost all of her albums are represented on this list, because the 18-year-old Swift who wrote her 2008 Fearless album was just as attuned to fall as the 35-year-old Swift who penned 2025’s The Life of a Showgirl. Some selections overtly take place in the September, October and November months, while others — “Haunted,” mainly — have spooky vibes that feel reminiscent of Halloween. And again, there are some that simply indescribably make you want to light a cinnamon candle or sip on a pumpkin spice latte just by listening to them.
As the autumn leaves continue falling down like pieces into place outside, keep reading to see Billboard‘s picks for the 13 most autumnal Swift songs in alphabetical order below.
