Super Eagles attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho made a heartwarming gesture towards a member of the Bursaspor staff after scoring his 12th goal of the season against Mardin 1969 Spor on Sunday.
It also meant that the striker has now scored in nine consecutive league matches for his Turkish side.
According to Bursasporx, it was Iheanacho’s action after the goal that captured the attention of the club’s fans and elicited widespread commendation from supporters.
Iheanacho had acknowledged to Bursaspor’s chef as he celebrated his goal, a demonstration that underscored his modesty.
However, despite his goal, Bursaspor were defeated in the game as Zdravko Dimitrov’s late goal ensured victory for Mardin 1969 Spor.
The former Leicester City striker also scored for the Super Eagles in their recent friendly match against Russia.
