Alienware 15 is a cost effective version of the Alienware gaming laptops line from Dell, offering a gaming-oriented design and performance at a budget level. The test model has such characteristics as Intel Core 7 240H CPU, 16 GB of RAM, RTX 5050 GPU and a 512GB SSD drive. With a 165Hz 15.3 inches screen the laptop provides fluent gameplay experience, as well as its Cryo-tech system supports the performance while gaming for a long period. The model has quite a wide range of ports, comfortable keyboard and even rather modest design for a gaming laptop. However, there is not enough color reproduction of the display, the 512GB hard drive and short battery life during gaming.

Final Verdict
The Alienware 15 provides a viable gateway into the Alienware range of gaming devices from Dell. With its decent hardware complemented by a 165Hz screen, solid cooling mechanism and a comprehensive set of ports, the Alienware 15 becomes a good fit for casual gaming and productive activities. The RTX 5050 version will be able to play most current games at the 1080p resolution without any trouble; however, some might have to sacrifice some graphics settings. The main sacrifices are represented by the lack of color gamut provided by the screen, modest 512GB of storage, noisy fans when working hard, and poor gaming performance on battery power. Weighing in at about 2.2kg, this product is definitely meant more for gaming laptops rather than ultraportables.
