Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa has successfully undergone her first heart surgery, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) spokesman said.
According to the spokesman, the surgery was performed following a sudden medical emergency while she was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.
The spokesman further stated that Shiranthi Rajapaksa is expected to undergo another open-heart surgery in the future. (Newswire)
