YONGIN — The city of Yongin said on the 15th that it will run the second round of mobile screenings under its 2026 specialized health checkup program for women farmers in Cheoin District from Oct. 29 through Nov. 2.
The mobile service is designed to help women farmers manage their health, as rural residents often find it difficult to visit medical institutions.
Eligible participants are women farmers aged 51 to 80 living in Cheoin District who were born in even-numbered years. The checkups cover musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular disease, fracture risk, lung capacity and pesticide poisoning, comprising 10 items across five categories. Participants also receive individually tailored health education aimed at preventing illness. The schedule runs through Pogok on Oct. 29, Mohyeon on Oct. 30 and Yangji on Nov. 2. Screenings take place at each town's community service center. Applications can be submitted online through the Nongup-e-ji website or by calling the city's agricultural policy division.
A city official said, "We hope this helps women farmers who have put off screenings because of the busy farming season and the difficulty of getting around," adding, "We will expand welfare services for farmers in ways suited to a city that combines urban and rural areas."
