Liverpool have gone through a lot of changes over the last couple of years.
The Reds' recruitment team have managed to spend well over £600 million on new players and, it's still unclear whether they're even any better off than they were before all that money was spent.
Several areas among their ranks still need upgrading and, if they don't manage to do that, they're going to fall even further behind their title rivals.
Obviously, this would be far from ideal, especially since they're now fifth in the Premier League table.
To try and combat this, many transfers have been made and, now that we're a few months into the 2026-27 season, certain players are getting used to their surroundings with one of them even starting to remind fans of Xherdan Shaqiri.
Victor Munoz could become Liverpool's new Xherdan Shaqiri
Shaqiri was a bargain transfer that Liverpool completed back in 2018 when Stoke City were relegated.
The Switzerland international only cost the Reds around £13.5 million and, while the transfer was questioned at the time, he managed to appear 63 times for Liverpool while contributing to 17 goals across all competitions.
This may not seem like the best return but, when called upon, he always put in as much effort as possible and was often lauded by Jurgen Klopp.
Since his departure, Liverpool have tried to replace him with the likes of Takumi Minamino and Federico Chiesa but, neither of them met expectations.
But, this summer, Victor Munoz was brought in for the bargain price of £35 million and, even though he's a natural left-winger, his ability to play anywhere across the front three is just one of the many reasons why he's reminding fans of Shaqiri.
The fact that he was brought in from a team who survive relegation to La Liga 2 thanks to goal difference is another similarity.
But, the main thing is that, whenever he's been called upon thus far, he's always performed to a high standard and has easily managed to prove his worth.
Victor Munoz could become an important player for Liverpool in the future
Right now, Liverpool are still trying to figure out what their best XI is.
But, since so many members of their squad are side-lined due to injury, it's been hard to Iraola to figure out who his usual starting XI should be.
This has forced the Spaniard to try out many different players in many different positions and, of the lot, Munoz has probably been one of the most impressive.
His outings for Liverpool have been second-to-none and, even though he may end up on the bench more often than he'd want to, there's still a massive chance for him to become an important player at Anfield.
The Real Madrid academy graduate is only 23 years old so, even though he's already bagged himself two Premier League goals this season, there's every chance that he could become even better than he already is.
Which, for the £35 million that Liverpool paid for him, would be unreal.
