No one asked for it, but Sacha Baron Cohen is doing it anyhow. The comedian is back with a new Ali G movie, Ali G: Who Iz I?, coming to theaters in the U.S. and U.K. this weekend.
The British comedian has been doing his “Ali G” character—a white British poser who speaks in a vague British-Jamaican accent and accosts unsuspecting passer-bys on the street—for nearly three decades, since he first debuted him as the “voice of youth” in 1998 on a British sketch comedy show. From there he got his own show, Da Ali G Show, in the early 2000s, and a feature film, Ali G Indahouse, in 2002. Though never quite as popular as his Borat character got in the U.S., apparently there was enough demand for more Ali G for a second features film, nearly 25 years later.
This new movie—a standalone, rather than a sequel to Indahouse—will be directed by Cohen, marking his directorial debut. Morgana Robinson, who was also featured in the first movie, will star alongside Cohen. If you’re curious about the movie but don’t want to go to the movie theater for it, then read on to find out what we know about when the new Ali G movie will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Where to watch the Ali G movie Ali G: Who Iz I:
For now, Ali G: Who Iz I the movie will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in the U.S. on Friday, October 23. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Ali G: Who Iz I is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Is the Ali G: Who Iz I movie streaming on Netflix?
Ali G: Who Iz I is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is not a Netflix movie. Ali G: Who Iz I is an Amazon MGM movie, and therefore will likely go to streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video.
If you aren’t a Prime Video subscriber yet, you can get started with a 30-day Amazon Prime free trial, including Prime perks like the Prime Video streaming service, free two-day shipping, exclusive deals, and more. After the free trial, Amazon Prime costs $14.99/month or $139/year.
All 18- to 24-year-olds, regardless of student status, are eligible for a discounted Prime for Young Adults membership as well, with age verification. After a six-month free trial, you’ll pay 50% off the standard Prime monthly price of $14.99/month — just $7.49/month — for up to six years and get all the perks.
When will the Ali G: Who Iz I movie be streaming on Amazon Prime Video?
The Ali G: Who Iz I movie streaming release date on Prime Video has not yet been announced, and the Amazon MGM titles have been very inconsistent with their streaming release times. That said, it’s possible you might see Ali G on Prime Video sometime in the seven to nine weeks, around December 2026.
Another 2026 Amazon MGM movie, Masters of the Universe, began streaming on Amazon Prime about a month and a half, or seven weeks, after releasing in theaters. If Ali G: Who Iz I follows a similar release strategy, you might see Ali G: Who Iz I streaming free on Amazon Prime Video around December 2026. But other MGM movies took up to two or three months to come to Prime Video, so you might be waiting until January or even February 2027.
This is all speculation. The streaming releases for Amazon MGM movies that go to theaters have varied wildly by title. So, you may have a longer wait before you see Ali G: Who Iz I on streaming. If you want to watch Ali G: Who Iz I right away, you can go see the movie in theaters.
