Australian comedy trio Sooshi Mango has cancelled its scheduled performance in Nicosia, Cyprus, after efforts to resolve ongoing issues with their missing luggage failed.
The popular group announced the cancellation in a message to fans, apologising to those who had been looking forward to attending the show.
Despite trying everything possible to make the performance go ahead, the trio said they had been unable to find a solution while their personal luggage remained missing.
“To everyone who was coming to see us in Nicosia, we’re truly sorry to announce that our show has now been cancelled,” the group said.
“We’ve tried everything we possibly could to make the show happen, but sadly, we’ve been unable to find a way forward.”
The announcement comes as a disappointment for fans who had made plans to see the Australian performers during their visit to Cyprus.
Sooshi Mango acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the cancellation and confirmed that the promoter would contact all ticket holders to arrange full refunds.
The group also shared an update indicating that their luggage had still not been returned.
Known for their comedy sketches inspired by Greek and Italian migrant families, Sooshi Mango has built a substantial following among Greek Australians and audiences across the wider Greek diaspora.
The trio’s comedy frequently draws on the experiences, family dynamics and cultural quirks familiar to migrant communities, making them particularly popular among audiences with Greek heritage.
Despite the setback in Nicosia, the performers reassured fans that they hoped to return in the future.
“We were so looking forward to sharing a laugh with you,” they said.
“This is not goodbye, but we will see you again soon.”
The group closed its message by thanking supporters for their patience and understanding, signing off with a message of love to their fans.
