While the New York Jets ponder their quarterback future, they’re also trying to bounce back from failing to use their best offensive weapon. And another key skill player, Breece Hall, got an injury update that will catch fantasy managers’ attention, according to a post on X by Ian Rapoport.
“Breece Hall back to practice…”
That sounds a lot like music to the ears of fantasy managers who spent a lot of draft capital on Hall. The five-year NFL veteran has appeared in just three games this season. And since opening week, Hall has only 29 carries for 61 yards and no scores.

Jets need RB Breece Hall back in the mix
Hall’s absence has created fantasy value for Braelon Allen. And while Allen still carries importance as RB2, he wouldn’t be near the threat with a healthy Hall on the field.
And they have a very critical game this Sunday. Sitting at 2-4 and playing the 0-5 Dolphins, the Jets have a chance to put their season on a decent path. However, an upset loss to the Dolphins could ruin their season.
Receiver Garrett Wilson acknowedlged the importance, according to apnews.com.
“Yeah, I mean, it’s huge,” Wilson said. “If we want to be where we want to be at the end of the season, these are the type of games you’ve got to have. We also take a lot of pride in protecting the home turf. So just knowing that and coming back home, you’re going to put a premium on this game.
“And at the end of day, we’re coming off a loss. You want to get that taste out of your mouth.”
Quarterback Geno Smith added: “We always say every game is important, but especially those division games. It’s early in the season for us, but now is around the time where things start to shape themselves up.”
Fantasy managers will have to wait to see if the limited practice on Thursday works toward game action for Hall. But if he gets back on the field, he needs to be back in fantasy lineups.
