Arizona Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett connected on 29 of his 47 pass attempts for 292 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception versus the Detroit Lions in Week 5. Brissett also ran twice for 19 yards.
Why It Matters: With the Cardinals buried, Brissett got to put up some serious consolation numbers in Week 5, including touchdowns when Arizona trailed by 24 and 31 points, respectively. All the good vibes from the season-opening win over the Chargers feel gone now, though the Cardinals could certainly find themselves in this kind of one-sided situation again as the season rolls on, which can be good for Brissett's value. On the flip side, if the losses continue to pile up, you must wonder if we'll see Carson Beck at some point. For the time being, however, Brissett offers fringe QB2 value and is playable in plus matchups.
