In Anton Harrison's absence, who will start at left tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars?
Harrison left Sunday's game with a knee injury and will reportedly undergo a procedure. However, how long he will be out is still undetermined, with the recovery time ranging from several weeks to several months.
Without Harrison against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Jaguars turned to Walker Little, who held up well in that game, not allowing a single quarterback pressure.
One would guess that at this time, Little will continue to start for the Jaguars. For starters, he's experienced, with 39 starts under his belt, and is familiar with the Liam Coen offense.
Cole Van Lanen has left tackle experience, and Little has been cross-trained at right tackle, but disrupting two positions rather than attempting to only fill the left tackle role may not be the prudent move.
Wyatt Milum was a college left tackle but spent a lot of training camp on the right side of the line, and his play was up-and-down. Daniel Faalele has some tackle experience, but has mostly played right guard. He is yet to be active in a game this season.
When it comes to outside additions, the free agent market at this stage of the season has little to offer -- although whether via the practice squad or an outside signing, the tackle depth on the 53-man roster will have to be replenished.
Perhaps GM James Gladstone explores trade options, but teams typically aren't trading away starting-caliber left tackles.
So, as of now, this feels like Little's job moving forward.
