Keeping Saptami light and easy

Saptami is when the Puja mood begins to set in. The rituals begin, friends meet over adda and the city starts filling up with festive energy.
Rosi went for a light cotton sari, paired with a halter-neck blouse for a look that feels traditional without being too dressed up. Minimal accessories and a neatly tied ponytail keep it simple, chic and perfect for a day of pandal-hopping.
White for Ashtami

For Ashtami, Rosi went with a classic white-on-white look. She paired a white sari embroidered with pops of colour, paired with a white lace top. The sari was traditionally draped, but with a slightly loose anchal, while the lace top added a modern touch.
Soft curls, a bindi and minimal makeup kept the styling understated. She finished the look with a lotus tucked into her hair.
The black-and-red mood on Navami

Black is Rosi’s go-to colour for Navami, and this time she paired it with what she calls its best friend, a red rose. The sari comes with intricate gold detailing, while the long, neatly pleated drape is taken around the shoulders and brought to the front, falling loosely over the arms. A fitted black corset off-the-shoulder top gives the traditional drape a contemporary feel.
Statement jhumkas, sleek, pulled-back hair and kajal rounds off the look.
Keeping it traditional for Dashami

Dashami is all about going back to the classics, and Rosi chose a red-on-red sari look for the final day of Pujo. She kept the drape traditional (atpoure) and suggested getting a little help from a family member while pleating and setting the sari.
The look is especially suited for Thakur Boron and for those celebrating their first Sindoor Khela, a deeply personal Dashami tradition for many Bengali women.
She paired the red sari with green jewellery, but says classic gold works just as well with the look.
Simple yet traditional, it is a fitting choice for bidding Ma Durga farewell.
