Woowa Brothers, the operator of food delivery app Baemin, said on the 13th that multi-brand shoe retailer Shoemarker will join its Grocery and Shopping service starting on the 14th. Shoemarker is a footwear specialty retailer carrying products ranging from global sports brands such as Adidas, Puma and Oakley to its own private-brand lines.
Thirty Shoemarker stores in the greater Seoul area, including the Plus Myeong-dong and Plus Konkuk Star City branches, will be the first to join. Baemin plans to expand the partnership to 50 stores by the end of the year.
To mark the launch, Baemin will offer 20% discount coupons on all items through Nov. 30. Delivery fees will be waived on orders of 20,000 won or more through Nov. 13.
Baemin's Grocery and Shopping service has been broadening its product range from groceries into non-food categories. Sportswear brand Fila and women's fashion brand Siyaju joined this year, and urban beauty outlet Off Beauty came on board on the 8th of this month, allowing customers to order cosmetics.
"We will continue to expand our product lineup so that customers can order what they need and receive it immediately without visiting a store," a Baemin official said.
