TUNDUMA: THE Deputy Minister for Energy, Salome Makamba, has said improvements to electricity infrastructure under the TAZA Project are strengthening power supply in Tunduma and surrounding areas, with the aim of improving reliability and supporting economic growth.
Makamba made the remarks during a visit by Vice-President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Deogratius Ndejembi, to inspect progress in the implementation of the TAZA Project in various areas.
She said reliable electricity was essential for expanding businesses, boosting production and supporting other economic activities. She added that the ongoing infrastructure improvements would help address electricity supply challenges and create a better environment for residents to conduct their activities efficiently.
Makamba said the government was continuing to strengthen electricity infrastructure to ensure a reliable supply while improving productivity and opening up new economic opportunities.
