Muscat: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) has advanced to seventh place among top Arab higher education institutions in the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2027, announced today. The progress highlights a steady rise for the university, moving up from eighth position in the previous year's regional rankings.
The university’s elevated standing stems from strong performance across core evaluation metrics, notably employer reputation, academic reputation, and international research network expansion.
This achievement reflects SQU’s ongoing strategy to deliver high-caliber graduate outcomes, advance its regional research ecosystem, and support academic faculty whose scholarly contributions serve as vital benchmarks across multiple scientific disciplines.
