Stalwart Wexford football defender Eoin Porter has been selected on the Tailteann Cup Team of the Year.
The reliable Rathgarogue-Cushinstown player is chosen at left corner-back on a side backboned by representatives from champions Wicklow (six) and runners-up Down (five).
Eoin will receive his award at a function in Croke Park this Friday night. He follows in the footsteps of Horeswood’s Seán Nolan, who was Wexford’s sole representative on the 2025 team but is currently sidelined with a long-term injury.
A key figure with the county since making his debut in the Leinster championship of 2018 against Laois, Porter has made 82 Wexford appearances and has scored 1-17.
The full Tailteann Cup Team of the Year is: Ronan Burns (Down); Malachy Stone (Wicklow), Pierce Laverty (Down), Eoin Porter (Wexford); Ronan McCaffrey (Fermanagh), Eoin Murtagh (Wicklow), Shane Annett (Down); Dean Healy (Wicklow), Odhran Murdock (Down); Dylan Hyland (Offaly), Pádraig O’Toole (Wicklow), Jack McEvoy (Offaly); Oisín McGraynor (Wicklow), Kevin Quinn (Wicklow), Eamon Brown (Down).
