GYEONGJU — The city of Gyeongju in North Gyeongsang Province said on the 23rd that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with BM Tech Solution for a 5 billion won ($3.6 million) investment to expand the company's industrial robot production capacity.
Under the agreement, BM Tech Solution will expand production facilities for industrial robots and drones at its existing site in the Yongmyeong General Industrial Complex in Geoncheon-eup, Gyeongju, by September 2028.
The company also plans to create 20 new jobs in research and development, production and management.
The city said it will provide administrative support, including permits and approvals, to ensure the investment plan proceeds smoothly, and will consider offering investment subsidies.
"We will strengthen our technological capabilities and production capacity in industrial robots and drones, and contribute to job creation and the development of the local economy," BM Tech Solution Chief Executive Moon Young-chul said.
