James has struggled with his shooting efficiency early in the season, connecting on 37% of his field goal attempts and 76.9% of his free throws.
Despite those struggles, the four-time NBA champion played a significant role in Philadelphia’s historic comeback victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night.
The 76ers overcame a 29-point deficit to secure a 114-106 victory in their home opener, improving to 2-0.
James finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block across 33 minutes. He shot 5-for-14 from the field, 1-for-4 from 3-point range and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.
76ers injury report vs. Bucks includes LeBron James, three others
Alongside James, Philadelphia will be without three additional players for Saturday’s contest.
Dominick Barlow remains sidelined with a lower back stress reaction, while Tacko Fall is out with a left quadriceps strain. Ariel Hukporti will also miss the matchup because of a right Achilles tendon rupture.
James’ absence leaves Philadelphia without one of its primary playmakers as the organization looks to maintain its undefeated start.
The 76ers will rely on Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown to shoulder additional offensive responsibilities, while second-year guard VJ Edgecombe could also see an expanded role.
Philadelphia will attempt to secure its third consecutive victory against a Milwaukee team still searching for its first win.
Saturday’s matchup tips off at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV.
