Anwar Ibrahim launched Jejak-Jejak Negara Bangsa, a coffee-table book by Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia on past leaders and Malaysia’s national identity.
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday launched an exclusive coffee-table book titled Jejak-Jejak Negara Bangsa (Traces of Nationhood), published by the Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia under the Prime Minister’s Office.
In a statement, the academy said the launch took place before Anwar chaired the Dewan Kenegaraan Governance Board Meeting at Seri Perdana in Putrajaya.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof also attended the event.
The book combines historical narratives and visual archives documenting key national milestones, the contributions and sacrifices of past leaders, and the evolution of Malaysia’s identity from the pre-independence era to modernisation.
“Featuring high-quality printing and valuable visual archives, the book highlights the foundations of nation-building rooted in justice, integrity, sociocultural diversity and unity among Malaysia’s multiracial population,” the statement said.
The academy said the launch reflected the government’s commitment to promoting patriotism and national awareness alongside transparent, ethical governance under the Malaysia MADANI framework.
It added that the publication was intended not only as a pictorial historical record but also as a reference for present and future generations to better understand Malaysia’s national identity.
The book will be distributed free to major libraries, higher education institutions, diplomatic missions and selected public agencies as a reference on nationhood and Malaysia’s historical heritage.
