Kakching 1st Divn LeagueUBSA thrash DYA 3-0 to finish runners up behind YGC

IMPHAL, Oct 16 : UBSA, Mantak cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over DYA, Elangkhanpokpi to claim the runners-up title in the 7-team 22nd KK Memorial 1st Division Football League Tournament. The tournament was successfully organized by the District Sports Association (DSA), Kakching.
Following a scoreless opening period, K. Vicky Kom broke the deadlock in the 46th minute to open the scoring for UBSA.
K Ngirneireng then took command of the attack, netting a quick-fire brace in the 50th and 73rd minutes to put the game completely out of DYA's reach.
Meanwhile, Youth Guide Club (YGC), Langmeidong dominated the campaign, winning all six of their matches to secure the tournament's top honor and earn a promotion to the Super Division next season.
YGC players also swept the individual accolades: M  Malemnganba was named best goalkeeper, Kh Dijen best defender, P  Zidane best midfielder, Y  Dayananda tournament's top scorers alongside L Gouro as the best player. Despite the defeat, DYA was recognized with the Fair Play award as the tournament's best-disciplined team.
