Oura Ring 5 Features:
Oura has updated the ring’s sensing system with more powerful LEDs and 12 optimised signal pathways. According to the company, this setup is designed to capture more reliable health signals across different skin tones and finger types. The collected data is presented through the Oura app, where users can track changes in their health and daily routines.
One of the key additions is Health Radar, which monitors biometric signals over time to highlight changes that may warrant attention. Its features include Blood Pressure Signals, Nighttime BP and Nighttime Breathing, offering insights into cardiovascular trends and sleep-related breathing patterns.
The Oura app also offers GLP-1 Insights for users taking GLP-1 medications. It allows members to record medication schedules, doses, side effects and weight changes alongside data on sleep, activity, readiness and stress. The feature is available in India in English for users with an Oura Ring Gen 3 or newer.
For women’s health, Menopause Insights includes a questionnaire designed to help users understand how perimenopause symptoms affect areas such as sleep, mood, cognition and everyday functioning.
The platform also offers Cardio Effort to help users track workout intensity against a personalised baseline. Automatic VO2 Max estimates aerobic fitness during GPS-enabled walks, runs and hikes without requiring a separate walking test.
In terms of battery, one can expect between six and nine days on a single charge, with actual performance varying by size and usage.
