Morocco’s Official Gazette published the formal appointment of Prime Minister Fatima Zahra Mansouri’s government alongside the dismissal of a minister who served just two days.
Issue 7554, dated October 22, contains Royal Decree 1.26.91 appointing government members effective October 16, under Article 47 of the Constitution.
The same issue includes Decree 1.26.93, dismissing Madiha Khayir as delegate minister for vocational training and qualification, effective October 18.
The dismissal followed a request from Mansouri, approved by King Mohammed VI. No official explanation was provided, and no replacement was named.
A third decree, 1.26.92, delegates responsibility for administering national defense to Mansouri, under the King’s authority as supreme commander of the Royal Armed Forces.
The decree also permits Mansouri to delegate certain signing and approval powers to the minister responsible for national defense administration, excluding regulatory decrees and decisions.
The publication formally records the new government’s appointments, the early ministerial dismissal and the legal framework governing its defense responsibilities.
